VICTORIAN or Edwardian'Albert' Watch Chain Necklace. 9ct gold chain which was originally a watch chain. It's hallmarked 9KT on the clasp. The gold is a beautiful colour which is somewhere between rose and antique gold.
It's 50cm long so long enough for most people's necks if it's to be used as a necklace. This was my father's and he wore it in the late 80s to early 90s and it always looked very stylish on him and tasteful - being antique gold. It's chunky and has a decent weight and it feels amazing when you wear it.
I'll post this tracked and signed for (or whichever is the safest means of sending it), or you are welcome to collect from my home in Abingdon if you're local (Covid restrictions notwithstanding). Please see my other listing for an Omega Constellation 70s stainless steel automatic watch. After a few people have asked, Ive just weighed the necklace and the Tanita scales say 34.5g.
Many thanks for all the interest. I can't help feeling this would be a shame considering it's workmanship and age, but I don't know how that affects how much it's worth.
