Will be around 150 years old. Used in Victorian times to hold a ladies Muff (hand warmer) or Guard, used by Mothers and Nanny's to hang baby's rattle, scissors etc from. This has the original Escutcheon applied to the link denoting the Gold value, (plus a makers mark on the other side), 9c for 100% 9ct Gold. Have never had a Double Swivel fastener before!
