A genuine antique 9 Carat Gold fancy Belcher Necklace / Chain that measures 17 inches. Such a lovely chain with the added cross links. I believe it dates from 1900 to 1920 as this is when these types of tongue & box clasps were popular. It has that lovely rich antique gold colour. Stamped 9ct and guaranteed to be 9ct gold. In really good condition, minimal signs of wear and I just love it. A quality chain and a good weight at nearly 7g before chains were made as cheaply as possible. Lies nice against the skin, very easy to wear and in great used condition. Exactly 6.98g in weight on my scales so a good weight, ideal to hold a pendant or pretty enough to be worn alone. Antique tongue and box clasp fastener. The links are more ornate than a regular belcher and have a cross link in between each link, it has that lovely old antique look. It will be sent in a small gift bag, no box sorry as this is my display box.
