The push down button mechanism reveals a universal watch key (press down on the top button fit over the winding mechanism of the watch and wind, fits most pocket watches).

The key is on a later fancy link chain. Can's see a mark on the key but tested as and guaranteed to by 9ct. The chain is stamped 9K on the fastener.
