A TRULY STUNNING ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PERIOD 15CT YELLOW GOLD & BLACK ONYX MOURNING BROOCH / PENDANT CONVERSION, 9CT YELLOW GOLD CHAIN - C1880S. TURQOUISE CABOCHON & WONDERFUL GALLERIED ENAMEL SETTING - 16.00 GRAMS. A REALLY LOVELY ANTIQUE STYLE BROOCH / PENDANT & VERY WEARABLE! Brooch or pendant locket in tested 15ct yellow gold, set with a large concave. Black onyx front, set with a lovely real turquoise cabochon. The jewel has a wonderful black enamel galleried setting. To the rear is a convex glazed rear compartment, with a snap setting.

The pendant has a gold bale and is supplied with a heavy quality 9ct yellow gold chain, which is stamped 9ct to the clasp. This brooch is fully tested and we warrant it as at least 15ct gold, but it is not marked. The total weight is 16.00 grams.

This item started life as a brooch but has at some time in the past been fitted with a bale to take a chain. The original clasp is still present as is the original hasp for a safety chain. Neither the bar clasp or safety chain is still fitted. Is a super item and measures 1.75 in total length including the bale and is 1.15 wide.

The gold chain measures 20.0 in length including the safety clasp. This item is in antique condition 1. There is no damage to ant of the elements apart from the missing bar clasp. There is minor marking to the metal, but the enamelling is undamaged. The onyx and glass elements are undamaged.

The gold chain is in very good order as is the sprung clasp. All of our jewellery is professionally cleaned and is ready to wear.
