AN ART NOUVEAU PERIOD SUFFRAGETTE 9CT YELLOW GOLD PENDANT &. 9CT GOLD CHAIN - C1900S. PERIOD BOX & 2.75 GRAMS. AN AMAZINGLY CONTEMPORARY DESIGN , SO WEAR ABLE! It is set with sparking crystals of Peridot, Amethyst and clear has a central cabochon in which is an amethyst stone.

The chain is 9ct yellow gold and is probably later in date than the pendant. It is stamped 9ct to the clasp. The pendant is marked 9ct to the rear and we warrant it as such.

It has a charming period patina. We are providing this pendant in a charming period retailers box and will make a wonderful gift.

This type pendant is exceptionally rare todays market and were not available commercially in period, so many would have been adapted from period brooches & pendants by jobbing jewellers, resulting in some unusual designs and a large range of styles. This brooch or pendant is of good quality, so a rare survivor? The glass stones featured are Peridot for Green, Amethyst for Violet, clear crystal for White, supposedly symbolizing the Suffragette movements mantra, Give Women the Vote? These colours were first adopted in C1900 and the colours represent G reen for Hope, W hite for purity and V iolet for dignity. Is in the classic period floral design and is fashioned in 9ct yellow.

It is strung with a later 9ct yellow gold chain, which is stamped 9ct. The chain measures 16 in length including clasp. The pendant measures 1.75 in length including bale, so a total length of nearly 17.75'' The pendant is 0.25 wide. The total weight is 2.75 grams.

Is a charming vintage retailers box in dark blue leatherette and has a navy velvet pad and satin interior. It has a good hidden button clasp.

It is in vintage condition 2/3 and shows age related wear to both exterior and interior. This item is in antique condition 1.

There is only age related wear to the pendant including slight scratching, which is not noticeable when worn. All of the stones are present and in good order. The chain is gold and is.
