Victorian 9ct Gold Repousse Double Sided Locket Pendant On Garnet Chain Necklace

A beautiful antique Victorian 9ct gold (tested) repousse locket pendant, double sided, suspended on a carved garnet bead chain. A charming and eclectic piece, with two hand tinted Victorian photos inside.

The young lady with an almost vaudeville quality, both wonderful old pictures. There are some light scratches to the domed glass lenses, nothing major.

The locket opens with a screw top, the thread is a bit worn, so it doesn't fasten really tightly, but it dos secure. Depending on how this is to be worn, with either your own photos or as a beautiful period piece with the photos that are already in it, I would consider putting a spot of glue inside the screw cap to make it a permanent fixture, but that is only my opinion. An ornate and bohemian piece, looks gorgeous on.
